The Most Interesting Collection Of Things I've Ever Seen

The Future Perfect is a strange website...  You'll cruise through their "Objects" or "Designers" and wonder to yourself... what is the purpose of The Future Perfect?  Then it'll hit you.  Kooky!  They just wanna be kooky silly billies! All of their items are quality pieces, but err on the side of a bit stranger than the things you'd normally find at say... a Bed Bath & Beyond.  According to their website, "Most things at The Future Perfect are charming and unique," and I can't agree more.  The Future Perfect has a wide assortment of knick knacks, furniture and dinnerware, all to cater to the kookier side of ourselves!

Confetti System: the way to brighten up any party!

Sorry for the long hiatus!  I've been a bit preoccupied with the happenings of the holidays and the people in my life, but now I'm back!!!  Yay!!!

So let me introduce you to Confetti System, a charming little company that makes decorative garlands in a variety of colors.  They also make some pinatas as well!  When was the last time you cracked open a pinata?

I think the Peaches Garland is by far my favorite because of all the pink.

I think it's a pretty simple way of jazzin' up a place if you're in need of a bit of bling and silliness.  I wonder how easy it is to make these!

Mood Mugs

These insulated mugs from thabto are ridiculously adorable and I want all three.  They'd make really good christmas gifts too I think :)

Oiti

I really want this nifty magazine rack!  It is entirely made of curved plywood and looks like a great space saver cause you can just roll it away when you have company :P

That Funky Boutique

Good Morning Everyone!  I woke up to a pleasant surprise in my email today about a wonderful designer by the name of Angella Eisman.  Her online store is named "That Funky Boutique" and possesses the most adorable knitted rose pillows I've ever seen.  These pillows are actually made of upcycled knitted sweaters.  Cute!!  Now, I'm a bit of a knitter myself and really want to take a stab at making this myself!  I'll let you know how this turns out!

Heather Knight Ceramics

I used to have a small affinity for sea urchins.  Once, when I was still in school and we were working on an aquatic themed children's hospital, I really wanted to design some sea urchin bean bags for the children's reading area.  The idea was nixed though with a two-to-one vote. Bummer!!!  However, years later, I find that I'm still attracted to cute little sea urchin things, such as Heather Knight Ceramics' extremely adorable clay sea urchins.

Market Street Candles

There is a wonderful little company called Market Street Candles and they produce some really beautiful candles.  Heck, even if they didn't smell so good, I'd still spring for the amazing "vessels" that they come in!

According to the creator, Haley Forge, she started these candles by making them by herself as centerpieces for her dinner table.  Isn't it awesome how the greatest ideas come when you least expect them?

Crazy Knick Knacks From The Spoon Sisters

I seriously love Daily Candy and how much stuff they send me.  Okay, there was a bit of sarcasm in that... but Daily Candy sends buttloads of emails every week!  The good thing about the massive wave of mail is that every once in awhile, I'll find some little nugget of gold that will make me smile : )

Today's nugget of gold is: THE SPOON SISTERS!

What initially drew my attention was the Dress for Dinner Napkins.  Apparently, these are paper napkins that insta-fancy any occasion!  These would be a hoot if I were ever able to host my own dinner parties : )

The next item that caught my attention was this incredibly life-like peanut butter and jelly sandwich WALLET!  Crazy, isn't it?  I wish I could get my hands on these puppies, but they're all sold out! It's so cheap too, only 10 buckaroos!

Papier d'Armenie

Came across this from a Daily Candy email and thought it was pretty neat!  As an alternative to incense, this teeeeeeeeny tiiiiiiiiiiiny piece of paper will fill your entire room with a lovely smell.  I think it would definitely be worth a try!  You can find it at Beauty Habit.

Mud Australia

So simple! So clean!

I found Mud Australia via Gretel, another home accessories website.

I'm not a huge contemporary fan, but Mud Australia doesn't seem as stark as contemporary design usually looks.

Book City Jackets

I don't know about you, but I love the feeling of a book in my hands.  What I love even more is this book cover that provides a cheeky response to all those techies out there!
Book City Jackets makes the cutest book covers and the books look really awesome too! The 3 covers below show Moby Dick, War & Peace, and Ulysses.

Sleek and shiny!

Alessi is mostly known for all things coffee, but while flipping through my 2004 Gourmet "Cookie Extravaganza" magazine, i saw some really cute flatware by them. After a little research, I found out that this cutlery is hand-produced and silver plated.  Known as "Rundes Modell," it is supposed to reflect "extreme formal elegance."

Fancy stuff huh?  I didn't have any idea that Alessi made all these gorgeous accents and knick knacks!  Also, they have a ridiculously cute "bambino" line as well!
